METALSISTEM is glad to share with its customers some reference photos featuring the successfull supply and assembly of a major pallet racking project recently achieved for its customer CAVIT, a well known winery. CAVIT is one of the major Italian companies operating in the wine business, recognized successfully at both national and international level, with its headquarter, production and logistic facilities in Ravina di Trento, Trentino, Italy. CAVIT represents over 4.500 winegrowers who are members of 11 cellars, making up for 65% of the wine production within the Trentino region. CAVIT harvests and selects its raw materials from the very best produce of the cooperative member cellars, undergoing strict controls throughout the entire process, from refining to bottling.  CAVIT was one of the first companies in the wine business to obtain quality certification in Italy. Beside certification and compliance with the UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 and UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 standards, the company has been awarded with the BRC and the IFS (International Food Standards) certificates. CAVIT's production facilities are fully compliant with current environmental standards.

METALSISTEM has been selected to supply its racking systems for their new warehouse designed for the storage of finished products and directly connected to the production and shipping area. The new warehouse is a carefully designed, modern and perfectly isolated building, achieved with sustainability criteria thanks to the installation of photovoltaic cells on its roof.

The pallet racking structure supplied by METALSISTEM has been achieved with its heavy duty UNIBUILD series, covering a surface of exceeding 4000 m², comprising six double deep rows, designed for the use with stacker cranes. With an overall height of 19.5 metres, row lengths of up to 32 bays and 7 to 8 loading levels in height, the total storage capacity of the warehouse amounts to approximately 13.400 pallet locations equivalent to 13.000 tons of finished goods, i.e. millions of bottles of excellent wine.
